Worship

_______

Picture
Worship begins at 10am on Sunday mornings.  There is a mix of traditional hymns and hymns with newer lyrics.  We have a small but talented and dedicated choir to lead us in song. Worship is filled with scripture and with prayer.  The sermons try to connect our lives now, with the inspiration we hear from the readings of the week.  We follow the revised common lectionary, and the seasons of the church year.  We celebrate the holy mysteries of the eucharist each week with bread and wine, and all are welcome at God's table.  If you have not been baptised, you are welcome to receive a blessing, and archdeacon Kristen is always available to talk throughout the week.  There is a candle lighting prayer station available, and usually once a month we offer prayers for healing during communion.

HAVE KIDS WITH YOU?  There are activity bags and kids bulletins at the back so our younger generation worship in church too, or they can head off to Sunday School when invited after the announcements!

For those with hearing difficulties, we have headphones that connect into our sound system, or you can bring your own wired headphones to connect with our bluetooth receivers.

Following the service, we gather as a community with coffee hour following the service in Brand Hall.  Coffee, tea and treats are offered and an inviting atmosphere to meet new people.

A service of prayer is offered weekly on YouTube and copied to Facebook
